Mckenna Grace Wears a Pale Yellow Asta Resort Mini and Miu Miu Platforms at the Empire State Building
Mckenna Grace wore a pale yellow Asta Resort belted mini with Miu Miu platform sandals to the Empire State Building on October 9, 2026.
Mckenna Grace has found her shade for fall, and it’s butter yellow. The actress stopped by the Empire State Building’s observation deck in New York on October 9, in a very sweet look that proved a mini dress can be both sugary and sharp.
Her dress was the Maya long-sleeve belted dress from Asta Resort, a pale yellow knit mini with a slightly off-the-shoulder neckline and a fitted torso. The long sleeves flared out toward the cuffs, and a matching low-slung belt with a chunky rectangular gold-tone buckle sat across her hips. The hem ended well above the knee, which kept things short and playful.
She added Miu Miu patent leather platform sandals, which are white, chunky, ankle-strapped and seriously tall. They gave the dress a very retro, doll-like feel. Her bag was the Oscar de la Renta Mini Poppy floral-appliqué tote, a girly little accessory that suited the pastel mood. Gold hoop earrings and a few rings were her only visible jewelry.
The hair was the star, though. Mckenna’s long blonde waves were swept into a high half-up style with a braided loop on top and small, colorful clips tucked into it, and she added full, straight-cut bangs. Her makeup stayed soft and peachy, with a rosy lip.
If you know Mckenna from “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” “Gifted,” “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” and “Scream 7,” you’ll know she’s been busy lately. Her visit to the Empire State Building was tied to the release of “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,” which opens November 20. Mckenna plays Maysilee Donner, the District 12 tribute who owns the Mockingjay pin, as well as her twin sister Merrilee. Her co-star Whitney Peak was spotted with her during the visit.
The film is directed by Francis Lawrence and based on Suzanne Collins’ 2025 novel. It’s set 24 years before the original “The Hunger Games” and follows the reaping for the 50th Hunger Games. The cast also includes Joseph Zada, Ralph Fiennes, Elle Fanning, Glenn Close and Kieran Culkin. For a formal take from the same press run, see Mckenna Grace in archival Monique Lhuillier in Paris.
