Meghan Markle in a burgundy Joseph coat and The Fold skirt with Prince Harry in Nottingham

Meghan and Harry are back in Nottingham. It’s the same city where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first official outing together in December 2017, just after announcing their engagement. This time they were holding hands on the walk in, with kids and a crowd cheering along the barriers. It’s also their first joint public appearance since moving back to the UK.

Meghan stuck to one colour. Burgundy, head to toe, and it suited the autumn light. The coat is Joseph, a wool and cashmere blend with a big boxy cut and a long hem, worn open and loose over her shoulders. Underneath, a matching turtleneck. The skirt is The Fold London’s Clever Crepe Oliena, a fitted midi in a deeper plum-wine shade with a slit that opened as she walked. A slim leather belt with gold hardware sat at the waist.

Meghan Markle wore head-to-toe burgundy for the Nottingham visit with Prince Harry.

Her shoes were Jennifer Chamandi’s Lorenzo 105 pumps, in burgundy leather. She left off the signature straps. Her hair was slicked back into a sleek low ponytail, and she looked glowing and smiley the whole time.

Harry kept it casual. A grey blazer over an open-collar white shirt, dark blue jeans and black suede loafers. The couple visited local charities for young people and families. One report names a community recording studio in St Ann’s where kids work on creative skills.

It isn’t Meghan’s first burgundy moment either. In November 2018 she wore a Club Monaco burgundy coat over a matching dress with a velvet collar to the Hubb Community Kitchen in London. Looking for more of her coat looks? See Meghan Markle’s camel coat look from earlier this year.
