Mikey Madison Wears an Orange Custom Balenciaga Gown to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala

Mikey Madison went orange at the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles. Properly orange. She wore a custom Balenciaga gown by Pierpaolo Piccioli, styled by Andrew Mukamal. In a room full of black, white and nudes, you couldn’t miss her.

Piccioli's gown was a soft, floaty crepe with a deep V at the front and skinny straps that crossed over her bare back. Her sides were mostly open too. There was a seam low on the hip, so the dress sat in that loose drop-waist way, then the skirt kicked out and kept going. And that train! It trailed a good few feet behind her with a wavy, scalloped edge, and the side-on photo shows it best. No beads, no ruffles, nothing fussy. Just a lot of color.

Tiffany & Co. covered the jewelry. Right in the middle of her neckline sat the Wings necklace, a big diamond pendant, and on her hand she had the Soleste pear-shaped halo ring plus a second ring next to it. Her hair was long, dark and glossy, parted down the middle and left in loose waves. Makeup was low-key: thick lashes and a glossy rosy lip.

Mikey Madison is the actress who won the Best Actress Oscar for Anora. Before that you might know her from Better Things, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood or Scream. Red-orange suits her, and she wore crimson Dior to the 2026 Oscars.

The gala was on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in LA. Charlize Theron got the Icon Award, John Carpenter the Luminary Award and Colman Domingo the Vantage Award, and Taylor Swift performed. The money goes to the museum’s exhibitions, screenings and education programs.

She’s also been busy promoting her new film. Take a look at her sparkly Vivienne Westwood outfit in New York.
