Tate McRae Wears a White Saint Laurent Silk Slip Dress to Chez Margaux After Her Soho Pop-Up

Tate McRae kept things simple but sparkly for a night out in New York. The Canadian singer and dancer, known for “greedy,” “you broke me first” and “2 hands,” arrived at Chez Margaux on Thursday, October 8, with friends after her pop-up in Soho. It’s been a big year for her, with a Met Gala debut and the Hitmaker Award at Billboard Women in Music.

She wore a white Saint Laurent silk slip dress, and it was an easy outfit to like. The mini has a soft cowl neckline, thin spaghetti straps and a slinky fit that catches the light, so it looks glossy in every photo. Saint Laurent is a brand she has worn a lot lately, from the Met Gala after-party in May to a micro slip in July.

She went with gold for the rest of the outfit. Her strappy Saint Laurent Babylone sandals have ankle ties and a slim heel, and a small black Saint Laurent Uptown pouch with gold hardware added contrast. On her wrist she wore a Cartier Panthère de Cartier watch, along with a delicate pendant necklace, a ring and sparkly stud earrings.

Her beauty look was glam and polished. Her long golden-blonde hair was in glossy, loose waves, and she had smoky, winged eye makeup with a glossy pink lip. Her nails were long and pale.

The night out comes after she teased a new era over the summer, so fans will be watching what she wears next. She performed at the 2025 VMAs, where she won Song of the Summer and Best Editing, and that performance has since earned an Emmy nomination. She was up for three more awards at this year’s VMAs for “Nobody’s Girl.” Her latest album is So Close to What.
