Taylor Swift Speaks in Raisa Vanessa Velvet Dress at Nashville Hall of Fame

Taylor Swift just became the youngest person ever inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and she dressed like she knew it. At 36, she took the stage at the organization’s 56th anniversary gala on Monday, October 26, wearing a tiny floral velvet mini with a lot of fall energy. The event was held at the Music City Center in downtown Nashville, and she joined the Class of 2026 with Lyle Lovett, Bruce Channel, Shawn Camp and Lee Thomas Miller.

The dress comes from Raisa Vanessa. It’s a strapless mini in plum and burgundy velvet, covered in a print of orange and coral flowers, green leaves and little sparkly accents. The shape stays simple, with a straight bodice and a slightly flared skirt, so the pattern does the talking. She skipped sleeves, so the jewelry had to work, and it did.

Taylor wore a 65-carat pear-shaped diamond choker from Leviev, with matching pear-shaped diamond studs from Anita Ko. Her engagement ring, from Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, caught the light every time she held up the award. Swift’s heels were the Jimmy Choo Saeda sandals in purple satin with a crystal ankle strap, which picked up the plum in the velvet. Her hair was the other highlight. She wore it in a half-up style with a bit of height at the crown, full bangs and soft waves falling around her shoulders. It looks very 1960s, and it fits the velvet. Her lip was a glossy pink. If the bangs are on your list, read our guide to blunt bangs and how to style them.

In the photos she holds the Hall of Fame trophy, a bronze hand with a feather quill on a wooden base. She also stood at the podium to give her speech. She smiled and gestured as she spoke, and she looked relaxed. It’s a big honor, and she wore it well.
