Zara Halloween 2026: Grace Hartzel Models Gothic Looks in Venice
Zara’s Charming Venice Halloween 2026 editorial stars Grace Hartzel and Serkan Deniz in gothic 1920s-inspired looks shot by Nikolai von Bismarck.
Zara is going gothic for Halloween this year, and it picked Venice as the stage. The brand’s Halloween 2026 editorial, “Charming Venice,” was shot by Nikolai von Bismarck and stars Grace Hartzel and Serkan Deniz. The story casts the pair as a photographer and his muse, and it bounces between canal-side scenes and rooms packed with faded, old-world details. It went live on October 20.
Hartzel gets the big costume moments. In one shot she wears an oversized feathered hat with a glittering bow over a dark coat with patterned cuffs. Long strands of black beads hang down her chest, turning the plunging neckline into a layered jewelry backdrop. On a gondola, she swaps that for an ivory halter top edged in dark embellishment, black trousers and sheer opera gloves, under an even bigger hat of black feathers. Then there’s the night scene on the dock, where she walks in a black gown covered in lines of beading and tiny red accents, with a dropped waist, sheer panels and a high slit. Black leather gloves and a small beaded bag finish it.
Not everything is that dramatic. A brown dress gets a blush wrap tied at the waist, with an uneven hem, pale gloves and metallic heels. Another look is a brown crochet-style mesh dress stacked with chunky bangles. The black-and-white shot has a beret, a metallic cape, a white blouse with a gray bow and long pearl strands over loose black trousers. Her hair stays long and tousled with wispy bangs, which suits the gloomy mood. Deniz brings a tailored contrast in a pinstriped suit, camera in hand. The loose dresses give it a 1920s feel, and the dark palette and heavy jewelry keep the whole thing cinematic. It’s a good example of the gothic aesthetic outfits that are popular right now.
