Blake Lively in Vintage Chanel Fall 1994 Sequin Minidress

Blake Lively dug into the Chanel archives for a night out in New York City on Tuesday, November 3. The actress wore a vintage Chanel minidress from the Fall 1994 collection, designed by Karl Lagerfeld, to Brent Neale’s holiday capsule collection launch.

It’s a strapless mini covered in midnight-blue sequins, with a fitted, corset-style bodice that keeps everything in place. The top edge has a ruffled, lace-trimmed neckline in navy, and oversized black satin bows run down the front over a row of little black buttons. The sequins catch the light with every step, so the dress looks darker in some photos and royal blue in others. It’s a very ’90s party dress, and it still feels fresh now.

Blake paired it with the new Chanel bucket bag from the Fall 2026 collection, a black leather style with gold hardware and a chain strap. On her feet were black Christian Louboutin pumps, the kind with clear panels at the sides, a slim ankle strap and the signature red soles. She added sparkly drop earrings and a bunch of gold cocktail rings, and left her neck bare so the neckline could stand out.

Her golden-blonde hair was worn in glossy, old-Hollywood waves with a side part, and she kept her makeup soft with rosy cheeks, defined eyes and a pink-nude lip.

Blake is known for Gossip Girl, The Age of Adaline and It Ends With Us, and she’s always been a fashion-week regular. If you want to see more of her style, check out Blake Lively’s ombré Versace gown at the 2026 Met Gala. For another vintage Chanel moment, see Tyla’s 1993 Chanel corset mini dress.
