Elle Fanning in Custom Coach Blush Slip Dress and Leather Trench

Elle Fanning went soft and a little moody at the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards. The ceremony was Monday, November 2, at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, with Keke Palmer hosting. Elle wore a custom Coach look that was designed by Stuart Vevers, the brand’s creative director.

The dress is a blush-pink slip. It’s a floor-length bias-cut gown with thin straps and a deep scoop neckline, trimmed with a bit of sheer lace. A diagonal seam runs across the skirt from the hip, and the hem ends in a ruffled train that pooled on the carpet behind her. Over it she wore a long black leather trench coat, left open, with buttons down the front and a big collar. The soft pink against the heavy black leather is a really nice mix.

Her bag matched in a clever way. It was a custom Coach Tabby shoulder bag in black, scattered with small pink embellishments. The jewelry was the star, though. She wore a long Cartier Panthère necklace in 18K rose gold with emerald eyes, onyx, rubellites and hundreds of diamonds, plus two diamond rings. Her blonde hair was in loose waves with a side part. Her makeup was all rosy, with a flushed cheek, defined eyeliner and a glossy pink lip. Samantha McMillen was her stylist.

Elle is a longtime Coach face, and you can see Elle Fanning’s Coach Revive Your Courage campaign for more of the brand on her.
