Naomi Ackie Goes Goth in Gucci and More on Her Clayface Press Tour
Naomi Ackie went goth for the Clayface press tour in Gucci, Dilara Fındıkoğlu, Issey Miyake and Colleen Allen, styled by Nicky Yates.
Naomi Ackie has spent the Clayface press run dressing like a very stylish Victorian ghost. The British actress, 35, is known for Blink Twice and Mickey 17, and for playing Whitney Houston in I Wanna Dance with Somebody. Working with stylist Nicky Yates, she’s kept every look dark and feminine, with a modern twist on the gothic aesthetic outfits we’ve been seeing a lot of.
The latest one is her strongest. For the London premiere on Tuesday, she wore a black knee-length Dilara Fındıkoğlu dress from the fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. It’s made from a serpent-style fabric, with a bustier bodice, sharp shoulders and lace-up detailing running down both the sleeves and the skirt. She added pointed-toe slingback pumps by Paris Texas and pear-shaped diamond and blackened white gold gypset hoop earrings by Jessica McCormack. Her hair was pulled back in braids, which kept the focus on that corset.
Earlier in the week, she went more mysterious. Monday’s London screening saw her in a minidress from Issey Miyake’s fall 2026 collection, in semi-sheer fabric with huge, voluminous sleeves and a hood for extra drama. Black sunglasses and pointed pumps finished it. That same morning, at the photo call, she wore a Colleen Allen fall 2026 set: a long-sleeve knit top with a flowing sheer maxiskirt with delicate embroidery.
She started the tour in Los Angeles on October 13 in Gucci pre-fall 2026. The black dress was all about asymmetry, with one sleeve, an angular skirt with a thigh-high slit on one side and a train on the other. She finished it with Gucci Boulevard Horsebit boots that have hardware on the pointed toe, and sleek black waves with a center part.
Clayface is based on the DC Comics character. It follows actor Matt Hagen, played by Tom Rhys Harries, who descends into madness as he turns into a revenge-filled monster. It’s in theaters on October 23.
