After last season's super sensational Underwater theme, complete with pearls and
shell clutches, Chanel presented another spectacular fashion show for the Fall/Winter 2012/13 collection. The season's theme seemed like a journey to the centre of the earth, complete with shades of the earth like grey, silver, and black. There was a lot of crystal, and the catwalk inside the Grand Palais was decorated by huge amethyst crystals and grey sand
. The models walked the stage on crystals heels, wore shiny jackets, outfits adorned with gemstones and even their eyebrows were covered by precious crystals. It was a truly spectacular show which only Karl Lagerfeld could have managed to pull off.
