Following up with Kim Kardashian's Caking Technique, we are now bring you the Reality TV star's Strobing Technique.

Kim is perhaps the celebrity with the most amazing and flawless make up looks, and she sets the latest trends be it contouring, caking or strobing.

The celebrity recently launched a video on her app, featuring her renowned make up artist Mario Dedivanovic, who teaches us the right way to strobe along with mentioning all the products he uses as well.

Strobing is said to be the 'new' contouring and focuses on highlighting the points of the face where light hits the most such as the bridge of the nose, cheekbones, brow bone, the chin and the cupid's bow as well.

Strobing is generally a fancy word for highlighting, though adds definition to the face and is easier and simpler than contouring.

Difference between Contouring and Strobing

Contouring is done with bronzers and gives a sculpted feel, while strobing is done with highlighters and gives a dewy appearance. Contouring and Strobing are not done together.

Strobing gives a radiant, glowing and dewy look, an almost natural and ethereal look that is youthful too.

For the best strobing, it is essential that you moisturize your face first. In the video, Kim's skin already looks amazing so it is best to hydrate your face beforehand.

The Best Highlighters for Strobing according to Skin Tone

Use a highlighter that compliments your skin tone. Mario uses the Benefit Watt's Up! on Kim, however, your skin tone might ask for another shade. Don't opt for pink based frosty shades.

How To Do The Perfect Strobing

Don't overdo applying the highlighter. See how gracefully Mario does Kim's face, applying it only on the points where light hits naturally. Sculpting the nose, brightening the eyes, enhancing cheek bones and emphasising the pout are very essential parts of strobing.

Always, always, always blend! Either use a sponge, such as a Beauty Blender used in the video, a fan brush or even your fingers.

If your skin is oily, opt for powder based products instead of a cream based one as used on Kim. Kardashian.

When you are using a shimmer based highlighter, your blush and bronzer should be matte else you will end up looking like a disco ball.

Mario uses the following products for Kim Kardashian's Strobing Look: Benefit Watt's Up!, Sigma E30 Brush (for highlighting the cupid's bow), the Beauty Blender (for blending the highlighter), Sigma E37 (for blending all over), Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick in Honey Bunny (for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes), Sigma E47 (for highlighting the brow bones), and Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in So Hollywood (to enhance the cream highlighter).

The make-up artist completes Kim's face with Charlotte Tilbury 'Dulce Vita' Eyeshadow Palette (to add depth to the eyes), Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Iconic Nude (to line the lips) and Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria Lipstick (to add a sheen of color to the lips).
