Atelier MorganMarsh: A Sustainable and Ethical Fashion Philosophy

Inspired by a passion for timeless quality and style, Atelier MorganMarsh are proud to unveil their inaugural collection for Autumn/Winter 18/19.

The Poole-based design duo has brilliantly reinvented The Classic Dress as a contemporary must-have - created from exceptional, breathable fabrics: lustrous silk, cotton tweed, cotton velvet and wool crepe. Some have a dash of stretch, for a perfect fit. And every piece has a pure silk lining: gorgeously tactile to ensure that sensuous Swish.

Co-founder Tina Morgan, explains: “Every savvy modern woman needs the perfect dress as an antidote to busy, stressful lives. A great dress is flattering and versatile: slip it on with trainers to tackle hectic mornings: add heels for glamour later in the day.”

Morgan’s partner, Berrin Marsh, says: “The dresses are skilfully cut to flatter, whilst their understated elegance gives the option to dress them up - or down - depending on the choice of accessories; we think clients prefer to make their own statement.”

True style has no upper - or lower - age limits. So Morgan and Marsh - both mothers themselves - have also launched an essential “Like Mama” collection, created to co-ordinate with mama’s grown up choices.

Fervent devotees of Slow Fashion principles, including making a limited collection plus made to order, they are committed to ethical production. Garments are made in their own atelier in Turkey and only recycled packaging is used. Even the business cards are made from recycled T-shirts.

Tina Morgan’s passion for heirloom dressing began as a child when her mother ran a successful clothing business. “The wonderful fabric and cut of the dresses meant they never dated. My daughter now loves wearing my dresses from that time. And we hope that our Atelier MorganMarsh pieces will one day be handed on.”

Turkish-born Berrin Marsh also grew up surrounded by inspirational leaders of the fashion industry. “Women in Turkey wore beautiful, made to measure clothes in natural fabrics. I wanted to recreate something of that era - with all its intrinsic elegance and sustainable principles.”
