With temperatures rising, there's no doubt that summertime is officially here. But although the season has just started, many celebrities have already been spotted sporting the trendiest summer clothes — whether it's cropped tops, tie-dye, strappy sandals, or bucket hats. But one thing that has made its yearly comeback once again are fashionable shorts. After all, the warmer weather should make you feel free and encourage you to shed those layers.

Before the season even officially started, Chanel West Coast was already spotted wearing a summer-inspired outfit. The rapper attended an event in Las Vegas wearing a pair of acid washed denim shorts topped with a yellow floral bralette. She finished off the look with a yellow cross body purse, three-inch wedge sandals (another trend that has been going since late 2018) and some over-sized sunglasses. She looked pretty beach-ready from head to toe.

Kim Kardashian is one of many celebrities who hasn't moved on from the athleisure trend just yet. In March, she was seen in LA wearing a black windbreaker, these tight 2XU scuba cycling shorts from Yeezy, and some neon trainers. Of course, she's not the only Kardashian making the most out of the summer heat. Her sister, Kourtney, was spotted rocking a vintage Christian Dior bikini from the Rasta Mania Collection of 2003 down in Costa Rica while on vacation with her family.

Along with the summer shorts trend, Hailey Baldwin is also keeping the dad shoe trend alive. In April, the 22-year-old model stepped out to a Pilates class clad in an all-pink getup, comprised of an over-sized Champion sweatshirt, a pair of Adidas trainers, and pink shorts from Outdoor Voices. You can recreate her look with these colourful shorts from Woman Within that come in various cuts and shades.
