French actress and environmentalist Marion Cotillard has been announced at the newest face of the coveted and the iconic Chanel NO°5 fragrance. Joining an impressive lineage of Chanel fragrance ambassadors including Margot Robbie and Lily-Rose Depp, the actress will be lending her face to a fragrance campaign for the first time.

"Authentic, committed and generous, Marion Cotillard takes her unique perspective from film to film, creating an exceptional destiny as a free woman," Chanel said in a press release that announced Marion's new role with the French fashion house.

Marion has had a long history with the luxury fashion house, and has worn Chanel on the red carpet for 'A Very Long Engagement' in 2004 and 'La Vie en Rose' in 2008. The 44 year old star has also been seen in the front row at many Chanel fashion shows over the years. The new Chanel NO°5 campaign featuring the actress will be unveiled later this year.
