Nicolas Ghesquiere’s forward-looking creativity meets Fornasetti’s magical illustrated world

French brand Louis Vuitton collaborates with Italian design house Fornasetti for a stellar collection for the Fall/Winter 2021 season. Merging the high-end brand's classic designs with architectural drawings, the collection is a modern and fashion-forward one, with unique and aesthetically pleasing elements that adorn both the apparel and accessories. Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere’s creative speaks for itself in the collection, and the designs, photographed against a backdrop of historic ruins, make a statement with their obvious inspiration from architecture. Prominent pieces in the collection include The Cannes bag, fresh with a monochrome architectural inspiration, and also the re-imagined Petite Malle design, featuring a dome print, made from metallic leather. The models are styled in velvet dresses and embellished outerwear, and the collection also has vibes and accents of wanderlust and fantasy, that are also felt in the short video advert for the collaboration, set to the tunes of ‘Long Road Home’ by Oneohtrix Point Never.
