Luxury brand Gucci celebrates the City of Lights, New York City, with the launch of its latest campaign. The Gucci Blondie Handbag Campaign was first released along with the Gucci Love Parade Spring/Summer 2022 Collection. Alessandro Michele, the creative director of the house, design the handbag as an accessory that would be sophisticated and elegant, with the signature interlocking G motif in a circular shape to go with the round shape of the bag.

The campaign is photographed by Angelo Pennetta, and the models show off a variety of color options, including emerald green, a monogram print, and traditional black. The shoot takes around the landmarks of New York City, such as Radio City Music Hall and The Guggenheim, and along with the print campaign, a video advert also features a short film set to the funky tunes of Amanda Lear’s ‘Follow Me’.

"As an ode to the city that never sleeps, the new Gucci Blondie collection is revealed in a film captured by Angelo Pennetta across New York. Impromptu moments of heritage are set in motion as city-goers clad in Gucci Love Parade looks and Blondie bags visit Manhattan’s most celebrated landmarks. Reflecting the dynamism of the Gucci Blondie persona as well as the House’s approach to time, the selection features unique shapes, each defined by a rounded and refined Interlocking G emblem originally introduced in 1971." - Gucci

The campaign features the art direction of Christopher Simmonds, and the models strut around confidently, and looking fashionable clad in relaxed pantsuits, elegant dresses, and the Gucci Blondie Bag.
