Mugler Fall/Winter 2023 Fashion Show

Mugler made a very glamorous runway comeback with the launch of its Fall/Winter 2023 Collection, that was presented during the Paris Couture Week. Casey Cadwallader's much-anticipated return to the runway was announced earlier this month, as the brand had halted runway presentations amid the pandemic. Making a comeback after three years, on the last day of Couture Week, the collection was the epitome of classic Mugler and Cadwaller fashion. Models Ziwe, Paloma Elsesser, Irina Shayk, Adut Akech, Anok Yai, Arca, Aweng Chuol, Mariacarla Boscono, Dominique Jackson, Debra Shaw and more walked down the catwalk at La Villette. The show also was the first following the death of Thierry Mugler in January 2022, and his legacy continued to be celebrated in the “Thierry Mugler: Couturissime” exhibition.

Cadwallader paid homage to the late designer’s experimentation spirit, and had the models dressed in bold bodysuits. Seen on the runway were leather corsets paired with ultra-high thigh boots, which featured zipper details all over. Lace trimmings were spotted on cut-out dresses and trousers, while deconstructed denim pieces were adorned with ruched details. The runway also highlighted Mugler’s latest it-bag and Cadwallader’s first purse for the house, the Spiral Curve 01, which is a structural design available in an array of colors.
