Tommy Hilfiger announces collaboration with Aries

Tommy Hilfiger is set to cement its UK status with a new collaboration with London-based label, Aries. Following up with its first-ever Depop shop and its latest Shawn Mendes collaboration, the brand has become the talk of the London city, which makes sense that Tommy Hilfiger would continue its reign in the UK by collaborating with one of the city’s most-loved brands. Having first released a teaser on Instagram, the collaboration has Tommy Jeans merging its denim heritage with Aries’ gritty, streetwear style. Comprising of menswear, womenswear and footwear, the collaboration is influenced from Tommy Jeans’ archive and allows Prantera’s stand-out vision to give it an entirely new look. With inspiration from baggy ’90s silhouettes, the collection offers a selection of exaggerated layers, denim designs and jackets, with prominent pieces including the Jacquard Tape Logo Dress and Black Trucker Jacket.

Following Tommy Hilfiger’s ever evolving sustainable ethos, the collection brings forth a selection of Tommy x Aries: Remade pieces, that are crafted from existing garments, surplus fabric and post-consumer waste. Pieces include corsets made from the Tommy flag along with jacquard-tape harnesses and upcycled denim.

The Aries and Tommy collection is presented through a set of images, which features the photography work of photographer Angelo Pennetta, and stars GRAMMY-nominated GloRilla, UK grime artist Novelist and members of the Aries family. A film created by Prantera is also set to release, which will include special verses by the musical talent in the campaign, and will pay tribute to the hip-hop history of Tommy Jeans.

The collection pays ode to the origins of streetwear, with an 8-bit game complementing the campaign, allowing fans to win parts of the collection through virtual avatars who “hack” the drop queue to get to the store. The new Tommy Jeans x Aries collection will be launched on March 31st, with early access available for subscribers on the Tommy Jeans website and the Aries website.
