In a historic feat, K-pop girl group Blackpink has surpassed Justin Bieber as the most viewed music artist on YouTube. With over 30.2 billion views and counting, the quartet consisting of Lisa, Rose, Jennie, and Jisoo took only seven years to achieve the remarkable feat via their official channel. Comparatively, Justin Bieber's channel began in 2007, taking him 16 years to reach 30.1 billion views.
Blackpink's achievement is particularly impressive considering they've only released two albums as a group - The Album (2020) and Born Pink (2022) - while each member has also released successful solo albums. Further, they're currently on their Born Pink World Tour, which began in 2022 and has sold out in nearly every city.
In March, they also became the most-streamed female group on Spotify, breaking a previous record held by British girl group Little Mix, with their songs garnering 8.88 billion individual streams as of March 3. The Guinness World Records also acknowledged their achievement in a statement
