The trend first appeared on major '90s runways, including Chanel's spring 1995 show featuring supermodels like Beverly Johnson and Helena Christensen clad in the iconic crystal bikinis with the Chanel logo. The thongkini has made a strong comeback and was seen on the catwalk at Miami Swim Week by Mate Collection and Riot Swim brands.
