FENDI's Beachwear Capsule Collection featuring Zodiac Sign Prints and Silhouettes from 1993

Luxury fashion house FENDI has released its latest collection for summer 2023, and it's all about astrology-inspired beachwear! The Astrology Summer 2023 Capsule Collection draws inspiration from the brand's archives, specifically from iconic zodiac sign prints by Karl Lagerfeld and silhouettes from the Spring Summer 1993 Collection. This time around, designer Kim Jones gives the brand's signature elements a modern twist with subtle streetwear influences.

The collection consists of swimwear made from eco-friendly Lycra fabric, stylish satin caftans, and dresses that are adorned with zodiac signs in both English and Italian languages. The designs also include astrological motifs originally created by Lagerfeld. Not to mention, the range also features a selection of knitwear, such as double-F emblem crocheted dresses, cozy cashmere sweaters, and form-fitting viscose pieces.

In addition, FENDI's summer collection offers sun-bleached denim, silk jerseys, and its iconic Peekaboo and Baguette handbags in white leather or embroidered with astrological accents. The creative minds behind the accessories, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and men's creative director, have included beach-appropriate woven pieces in the mix like a raffia shopper and a straw bucket purse. The brand's creative director of jewelry, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, has also added her unique touch with lucky charms that can be worn as single earrings or pendant necklaces, along with textile bracelets that match the prints on the ready-to-wear pieces.

The collection's campaign was shot by esteemed fashion photographer Steven Meisel and features top model Irina Shayk. The styling was overseen by renowned fashion editor, Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele while set design was handled by Mary Howard, and casting direction by Shelley Durkan. Hair stylist Guido Palau and makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath helped create the models' beauty looks.
