NewJeans stole the spotlight at the UL:KIN fashion show held during Seoul Fashion Week, captivating the audience with their edgy Y2K-inspired style. The K-Pop sensations, including members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, strutted down the runway in a striking ensemble featuring ankle-length and knee-length steel-toed combat boots from the renowned brand Vetements. These boots, characterized by their rugged chunky design, were paired with chunky white socks, adding a distinctive touch to the group's look.
The footwear sported a glossy black patent leather finish, along with matching black lace-up silhouettes. What set them apart were the futuristic utilitarian silver buckle closures and the bulbous, exaggerated toes, giving each member a unique and eye-catching appearance.
Furthermore, the platform-style soles of the boots not only provided extra height but also ensured a non-slip grip, enhancing the overall grungy aesthetic that perfectly complemented their outfits.
Speaking of their attire, NewJeans rocked a range of Y2K-inspired styles, featuring preppy miniskirts in neutral tones and distressed denim, coupled with corseted and cropped tops adorned with frayed hems, bow details, and bold camouflage patterns. Their fashion choices incorporated neutral and pastel hues, accentuated by voluminous ruffles and subtle edgy elements.
NewJeans, a South Korean girl group formed under Hybe Entertainment, made their official debut in 2022 with the hit single "Attention." Since then, they've skyrocketed to superstardom, thanks to chart-topping tracks like "Hype Boy" and "Super Shy." Notably, the group's members have also made significant strides in the fashion industry.
Minji, the eldest member of the group, was appointed as a global brand ambassador for Chanel in February. Hanni, a Vietnamese-Australian member, secured her position as a brand ambassador for Gucci in 2022 and became a global makeup ambassador for Armani Beauty. Danielle, another Korean-Australian member, was announced as a global ambassador for Burberry in January and a YSL Beauty ambassador in March.
The "Cookie" singers join a growing list of K-pop acts who have earned ambassadorship status from prestigious fashion brands, solidifying their status as not only musical talents but also fashion icons.
