Dakota Johnson delivered another standout style moment at the Cannes Film Festival, this time at the Splitsville after-party. The actress showed up in a semi-sheer floral slip dress by Gucci, bringing effortless glamor to the late-night celebration.
She was joined by co-star Adria Arjona, director Michael Angelo Covino, and guests including Jason Momoa, Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd, and Jeremy O. Harris. The event followed Splitsville’s successful Cannes premiere, where the film received a six-minute standing ovation. The comedy, about two couples navigating an open marriage, hits theaters on August 22 and also stars Nicholas Braun and O-T Fagbenle.
Speaking with Deadline, Johnson described the film as more than just comedy—calling it a soulful, layered exploration of love and complicated relationships. “It’s less of a love triangle and more of a love experiment… deeply loving, but pretty fucked up a lot of the time,” she said.
Up next, Johnson stars in Materialists, directed by Past Lives’ Celine Song. The film releases June 13, and Johnson recently opened up about how much she admired Song’s perspective on storytelling and emotion.
