Selena Gomez Creates First-Ever Oreo Flavor Inspired by Horchata
Selena Gomez creates Oreo’s first-ever celebrity flavor, inspired by horchata. The limited-edition cookies launch June 2 in the U.S.
Selena Gomez is adding “cookie creator” to her growing list of titles. The singer and actress has teamed up with Oreo to craft a brand-new, limited-edition flavor—the first ever created by a celebrity for the iconic brand.
Inspired by her love of horchata, the sweet and spiced drink made with rice, cinnamon, and milk, Gomez’s cookie features chocolate-cinnamon wafers filled with a layer of chocolate and cinnamon crème blended with sweetened condensed milk. Each cookie is topped off with a dusting of cinnamon sugar for the full flavor experience.
For the first time ever, Oreo is including a celebrity’s signature on the cookie itself, along with six unique embossments—including one for Gomez’s fanbase, “Selenators.”
“Making my own Oreo cookie was a lot of fun,” said Gomez. “I grew up loving them, so this was a full-circle moment.”
The cookies will be available online in the U.S. starting June 2 and hit major retailers nationwide a week later. International releases will follow in countries like Canada, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
