Charli XCX Marries George Daniel in Intimate London Ceremony

Charli XCX has married The 1975 drummer George Daniel after three years together. The couple tied the knot on Saturday in an intimate ceremony at Hackney Town Hall in London, with around 20 close friends and family in attendance.

Video from the wedding showed Charli, 32, wearing a strapless ivory gown and holding a bouquet of white flowers as she posed with Daniel, 35, who wore a black suit with a white boutonniere.

All of Daniel’s bandmates attended except frontman Matty Healy. A source said Healy flew from stag celebrations in Ibiza to be with his fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel, in Los Angeles due to her film commitments.

Charli (real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison) and Daniel first sparked dating rumours in March 2022 after being spotted holding hands in New York City. They had collaborated musically before their romance.

In November 2023, Charli announced their engagement on Instagram with photos of them kissing and her diamond ring, captioned, “charli xcx and george daniel f–king for life!!!”

Atlantic Records confirmed the news, congratulating them on X.
