Amal Clooney Dazzles in Plunging Butter-Yellow Balmain Dress with George by Her Side
Amal Clooney lights up Venice in a butter-yellow Balmain halter dress with gold buckle, thigh-high slit, and romantic PDA with George.
Butter yellow may just be the color of the summer—or rather, more like the color of fall's grand entrance, thanks to Amal Clooney.
Stepping onto a Venice water taxi on August 26, the humanitarian lawyer turned fashion authority in a Balmain Resort 2026 butter-yellow halter dress. The midi-length number featured a plunging neckline, sculpted bodice, thick straps, side pockets, and a thigh-high slit—tied together with a matching belt cinched by Balmain’s signature chunky gold buckle.
Amal styled the elegant yet daring look with oversized black sunglasses, silver drop earrings, gold bracelets, pointed white slingback stilettos, and a playful white “croissant” Balmain Ebene bag—infusing Italian flair into her “La Dolce Vita” aesthetic.
Her soft, side-parted waves and glowing skin—accented with berry-hued gloss and a mauve flush—were simply radiant. And when she appeared hand in hand with George Clooney as they entered Venice, the moment was pure romantic grace.
With her 2024 Venice standout (a Versace gown) still in fashion memory, Amal proves butter yellow is here to stay—and she’s leading the charge.
