Taylor Swift Confirms The Life of a Showgirl Album, Out October 3
Taylor Swift’s 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, drops October 3 — 12 tightly curated tracks produced with Max Martin and Shellback.
Taylor Swift is set to release her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3, 2025, unveiled during her debut on the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce.
Recorded in Europe while on her Eras Tour in 2024, the tightly curated album features 12 tracks and a guest appearance by Sabrina Carpenter on the title song. Longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback co-produced the record — signaling a shift back to her infectious pop sound.
Swift called it a “focused album” — free of bonus tracks or deluxe versions — marking a deliberate contrast to the sprawling 31-song rollout of The Tortured Poets Department. She described the project as vibrant, wild, and joyful — a behind-the-scenes window to her emotional and creative life during the tour.
The cover art—shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott—depicts Swift submerged in water in a glamorous gown, its dreamlike imagery hinting at the album’s introspective, performative themes. And the release date—October 3—hints at layers of personal significance, nodding to her magical “13” motif and pop culture moments like Mean Girls Day and National Boyfriend Day.
