Hailey Bieber Stars in ICE Magazine’s ‘The Brazil Issue’ by Renell Medrano

Hailey Bieber is celebrating her Brazilian roots in a striking new editorial for ICE Magazine, appearing on the cover of the publication’s third edition, The Brazil Issue. Photographed by Renell Medrano, the shoot was created in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival 2026 and pays tribute to the energy, beauty and confidence of Brazilian culture.

The 29-year-old model, entrepreneur and founder of rhode has a particularly personal connection to Brazil. Her mother, Kennya Deodato, was born in Rio de Janeiro, while her grandfather was Brazilian musician and Grammy winner Eumir Deodato. Bieber has often spoken about how her family helped her develop a strong connection to Brazilian culture.

For the editorial, Medrano photographed Bieber in a series of sensual, stripped-back images that put the focus firmly on her natural beauty and confidence. The visual direction fits ICE Magazine’s wider approach to celebrating women through a female-led photographic perspective rather than traditional beauty standards.

In her interview with the magazine, Bieber opened up about her relationship with Brazilian culture, explaining that her family played an important role in helping her appreciate that part of her identity. She also discussed her longstanding creative relationship with Medrano, saying she feels comfortable being challenged and photographed from a different perspective because of the trust between them.

The Rio shoot also features Brazilian models and other international ICE Girls, including Juliana Nalu and Tina Kunakey. With its Carnival backdrop, beach locations and vibrant Rio atmosphere, the third issue marks ICE Magazine’s first international edition.

For Bieber, The Brazil Issue feels less like a typical fashion cover and more like a personal celebration of family, heritage and self-confidence.
