Miranda Kerr Rebecca Vallance black dress Lucas Museum

Miranda Kerr kept things sleek and polished at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opening night in Los Angeles on September 19. The Australian model, a former Victoria's Secret Angel and the founder of KORA Organics, arrived on the carpet with her husband, Snap co-founder Evan Spiegel.

Kerr wore a black strapless midi dress from Rebecca Vallance, cut close through the body with a clean straight neckline. The eye-catching part was the embellishment: a lattice of silver trim ran diagonally across the whole dress, with a cluster of sparkling pale blue crystals sitting at each intersection. It looked almost like jewelry stitched onto the fabric, which kept a simple black silhouette from feeling plain. The same design was previously worn by the brand's creative director, Rebecca Vallance, at the 2026 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards. Vallance is an Australian designer who was named designer of the year at Marie Claire Australia's Women of the Year awards in 2023, so it's a nice home-country nod.

For shoes, she chose clear-strap stiletto sandals with a metallic silver heel, which let the dress do the talking. Her jewelry stayed small, just crystal flower-shaped stud earrings. Designer credits for the shoes and earrings haven't been confirmed yet. Her hair was pulled back in a sleek center-parted style, and her makeup was soft and fresh, with a rosy lip and a glowy finish.

The evening was hosted by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson ahead of the museum's public opening on September 22. It has more than 1,300 objects on display across 30 galleries. Kerr and Spiegel were photographed with Eva Longoria and her husband, José Bastón, and the guest list also included Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio and Harrison Ford.
