Nicole Kidman, Maisie Williams and Sandra Bullock Shine at Practical Magic 2 Premiere

The Practical Magic 2 U.S. premiere in Los Angeles on August 31, 2026, delivered plenty of witchy glamour, with Nicole Kidman, Maisie Williams and Sandra Bullock each taking a very different approach to red-carpet dressing. Held at Directors Village in Westwood, the premiere celebrated the return of the beloved Practical Magic world ahead of the sequel's North American theatrical release on September 11.

Nicole Kidman made perhaps the biggest fashion statement of the evening in a custom black Atelier Versace gown designed by Pieter Mulier. Significantly, the look marked Mulier's first public design for the house. The asymmetrical hand-intarsia lace gown was layered over a nude-toned base, creating a dramatic sheer effect, while a high slit revealed matching lace stilettos. Nicole completed the look with a delicate lace choker, and her long hair was styled in soft, slightly undone waves. Styled by Jason Bolden, the actress's outfit offered a darkly romantic first glimpse at the new Versace era.

Maisie Williams, known worldwide for playing Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, went in a more experimental direction with a Maison Margiela Fall 2026 leather top and skirt. The elaborate design appeared almost reconstructed from biker jackets, featuring visible seams, straps, eyelets and lacing. Skeletal bird imagery and anatomical-style motifs in blue, brown and dark tones gave the look an eerie finish that felt perfectly suited to the magical world of the film. She added sculptural statement earrings and sleek black pointed boots, while her hair was pulled tightly back with a carefully placed curl at the front.

Sandra Bullock, the Oscar-winning actress returning as Sally Owens, chose a striking custom Louis Vuitton gown by Nicolas Ghesquière. Her floor-length black velvet dress featured structured shoulders, a plunging V-shaped neckline, and dramatic oversized white collar and cuffs. The sharp black-and-white contrast gave the elegant look a subtle gothic mood. Sandra wore her dark hair in a deep side part with loose waves cascading over one shoulder and kept her jewelry minimal.

Other attendees included Joey King, who wore a dramatic Ilya Migmoon lace corset gown, along with Xolo Maridueña, Solly McLeod and director Susanne Bier. Brooks Nader, Grace Ann Nader, Cely Vazquez, Katie Maloney and Josh Holloway were also among the familiar faces spotted at the Los Angeles premiere.
