Penélope Cruz Wore Embellished Miss Sohee Couture Minidress to The Invite Screening at San Sebastián

Penélope Cruz went for classic black glamour on the red carpet at the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival. The Oscar-winning Spanish actress, known for Vicky Cristina Barcelona and her many films with Pedro Almodóvar, arrived at the Victoria Eugenia Theater on September 19 for the screening of The Invite, styled by Anna Castan.

Cruz wore a strapless Miss Sohee Spring/Summer 2026 couture minidress. The bodice was fitted, with folded black fabric framing the neckline and a shimmering scale pattern across the front. A fine beaded trim ran around the waist, and the skirt stopped just above the knee, covered in silver and gold floral embroidery with curling stems and sequins. It's a little dress with a lot going on.

Miss Sohee is a London-based couture house founded in 2020 by South Korean designer Sohee Park. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection, called Breathing Forms, was shown at Paris Couture Week in January. The label is known for Korean-inspired embroidery and has been worn by stars like Jennifer Lopez and Jisoo.

She wore black platform sandals with T-straps and small bows, showing off a red pedicure, and carried a matching black embellished clutch. The rest of her accessories were kept simple: gold drop earrings and a burgundy bracelet. Shoe and jewelry brands haven't been named. Her honey-highlighted bob had a full fringe and softly curved ends, and her glam was built around a smoky eye and a soft, understated lip.

In the film, directed by Olivia Wilde, Cruz stars with Wilde, Seth Rogen and Edward Norton in a comedy-drama about two couples. It's based on Cesc Gay's The People Upstairs and screened in the festival's Perlak section. This was a different mood from the ice-blue custom Chanel gown she wore to the film's Los Angeles premiere in June.
