Rachel Sennott Wore Custom Balenciaga at the 78th Emmy Awards
Rachel Sennott debuted new blonde hair and wore a sheer fuchsia Balenciaga gown by Pierpaolo Piccioli to the 78th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
Rachel Sennott brought serious drama to the Emmys blue carpet this year, both in her outfit and her hair. The "I Love LA" and "Bottoms" star, known for her sharp comedic timing on screen, arrived at the Peacock Theater on September 14 for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards with a completely new look that had people doing a double take.
Rachel wore a custom gown from Balenciaga, designed by the house's newest creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, in a bold deep fuchsia. The silky, sheer fabric was cut into a loose, boudoir-inspired silhouette with a draped, gathered bust and a floor-length cape trailing from the shoulders. The gown's extra-sheer chiffon gave it an almost vintage nightgown feel, romantic and a little undone, while still reading as a full-on statement piece under the red carpet lights. She finished the look with suede platform sandals featuring a tapered block heel, joining what turned out to be one of the night's biggest footwear trends.
But the real surprise of the night was her hair. Rachel debuted a brand-new blonde hairdo, courtesy of Bumble and bumble, worn in a voluminous half-up style with a teased, bump-like crown and soft waves cascading down. She paired the fresh color with a delicate diamond necklace and matching drop earrings, keeping her jewelry simple so the dramatic gown and hair color change could take center stage.
Rachel's fuchsia moment fit right into one of this year's clearest Emmys color trends, vibrant pinks and reds popped up across the carpet, worn by names like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selena Gomez. Between the daring gown and the surprise hair reveal, Rachel Sennott made sure her Emmys look was one of the most talked-about of the night.
