Chappell Roan Goes Full Latex in a Red Striped Mini Dress at MISTR’s National PrEP Day Party
Chappell Roan wore a burgundy striped latex mini dress with matching gloves to MISTR’s National PrEP Day party at The Abbey in West Hollywood.
Chappell Roan showed up to MISTR’s National PrEP Day party in head-to-toe latex, and honestly, nobody else on the guest list had a chance. The pop star stopped by The Abbey in West Hollywood on October 10 for the telehealth brand’s second annual celebration, which is all about spreading the word on HIV prevention and making PrEP easier to get.
Her dress was a glossy burgundy latex mini with a strapless neckline and tan horizontal stripes running across it, the kind of look that squeaks a little when she moves. She added matching striped latex opera gloves and burgundy thigh-high stockings, so the whole thing read as one long, shiny column of color. Black platform pumps kept the outfit grounded, and she posed on the blue MISTR step-and-repeat with her hands on her hips like she’d done it a thousand times.
The beauty look was just as loud. Her long red hair had blonde streaks running through it, with short, blunt micro-bangs across the forehead. Up top she went bold with blue and yellow eyeshadow, which popped against the deep wine tones of the dress.
It’s a very Chappell moment, and it’s the kind of costume-meets-couture styling she’s been leaning into for a while. If you remember her sheer burgundy gown at the Grammys, you can see the through-line. We covered that one in our look at Chappell Roan’s sheer Mugler gown at the 2026 Grammys, and the theatrical streak has only gotten stronger since.
The party drew a packed room, with Charli xcx, Christina Aguilera, Kesha, Demi Lovato, Kim Petras, Tove Lo and Emily Ratajkowski all in attendance. MISTR CEO Tristan Schukraft, who also owns The Abbey, used the night to push for ending new HIV transmissions, saying what remains is commitment.
Chappell is the singer behind “Pink Pony Club” and “Good Luck, Babe!”, and the Midwest-born artist has turned each red carpet into its own little stage show. This one fits right in.
