Florence Pugh is not slowing down this week. The Oscar-nominated British actress, known for Little Women, Midsommar and Black Widow, stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, September 30, to talk about East of Eden. She walked out of her New York hotel in a dramatic black gown, and it matched the dark mood of the show.

The dress was all about contrast. The fitted bodice was made of smooth black satin, with a thick, petal-like collar of layered ruffles spreading across the shoulders and chest. Sheer tulle cap sleeves added a floaty finish. Lower down, a side slit with a zipper detail opened onto a flared, handkerchief-style hem with see-through tulle panels, which swished around her legs as she walked.

Her accessories kept things simple and sharp. She wore black Steve Madden Larina pumps with ankle ties, which gave a soft, ballet-inspired touch. She also carried a small black drawstring pouch bag and wore round, tinted sunglasses. Her jewelry included several Maria Tash diamond studs, including the marquise butterfly, floating marquise and round diamond drape, invisible-set and star styles.

Florence's hair looked like old Hollywood. Her honey-blonde locks were swept to one side in glossy finger waves, with soft curls falling at the back. A deep berry-red lip and light pink nails finished the look.

This was just one of many outfit moments on a busy New York run. She wore a black off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood dress on The Tonight Show on Monday. On Tuesday, she wore a peach ChloƩ ruffle blouse for Good Morning America, then went with Erdem for an evening event in the West Village. She also wore a white Erdem gown to the Paley Center screening earlier in the week.

Florence plays Cathy Ames in Zoe Kazan's adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel, which also stars Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist. East of Eden is on Netflix from October 1.
