Scarlett Johansson Wears a Custom Red Prada Gown to the “Paper Tiger” London Premiere With Adam Driver

Scarlett Johansson only had a few hours between premieres, and she used them to change into another red dress. After the Ray Gunn screening earlier on Saturday, October 10, the Black Widow star returned to the BFI London Film Festival for the premiere of Paper Tiger, this time in a custom red gown from Prada, styled by Kate Young.

The gown was cut on the bias from silk georgette. It had a sweetheart neckline with a ruched, twisted bodice and wide straps, and a long panel of fabric draped down the middle of the front. From the waist it fell in a slim, liquid line to the floor, finishing in a soft, flowing train. Because the colour was a bright poppy red, the whole dress stood out against the purple festival backdrop.

Her accessories were by Barron London. She wore a chunky gold necklace in a flexible, snake-chain style with a single stone at the centre, and a thin sparkly bracelet and a ring completed the look. Her blonde bob was set in glossy, old-Hollywood waves and swept to one side. A soft, natural makeup look kept things understated.

She posed with her co-star Adam Driver, who went all-black in a dark suit, black shirt and black tie. Director James Gray was with them too. The pair previously worked together on Marriage Story, and Scarlett recently said the comfort between them helped the film.

Paper Tiger is a crime drama from Gray about two brothers who get caught up in a scheme that seems too good to be true. They end up in the dangerous world of the Russian mafia, and their family bonds begin to fray. It opens in select US cinemas on November 13 and goes nationwide on November 20 via Neon.

Scarlett also wore Prada to the film’s New York premiere, a slate-gray mohair minidress at the Paper Tiger NYFF premiere.

Another time she picked red Prada was for the Jurassic World Rebirth premiere in Shanghai.
