Tinashe Wears Purple Agro Studio Gown With Finger-Wave Bangs at the Academy Museum Gala
Tinashe wore a purple Agro Studio lace and tulle gown with finger-wave bangs and silver heels to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
Tinashe turned the Academy Museum Gala into a bit of a ballet scene, and honestly, it worked. The singer, songwriter and dancer, known for hits like “2 On” and “Nasty,” arrived in a purple lace and tulle gown by Agro Studio for the sixth annual gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 17.
The dress played with two shades of purple. The top was a deep plum, with a plunging halter neckline and a matching long-sleeved shrug that had cutouts at the shoulders and a little tie at the back of the neck. Below that sat a sheer lilac lace corset bodice, boning showing through, with lace-up lacing running down the back. The lace then ran into a diagonal seam, and from there it was all tulle: a bubble-shaped skirt in soft lavender-gray, with a darker purple-blue fade near the hem. It stopped around the ankle, which kept the whole thing from feeling too heavy.
The hair was the real standout. She wore it slicked back and sculpted into a tight updo, with short, curved micro-bangs and finger-wave-style curls at her temples. It’s very 1920s, if you’d like to see more of that look, our guide to 1920s finger waves has plenty. Her makeup was soft and pearly, with silvery-lilac shimmer on her eyes, rosy blush and a glossy nude-pink lip. She added oval diamond-style stud earrings and a small gold nose hoop, and finished with silver metallic strappy heels and a few rings.
The night honored actor Colman Domingo, actress Charlize Theron and filmmaker John Carpenter, with proceeds supporting the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. If you want another standout look from the evening, see Teyana Taylor in Schiaparelli at the same gala.
Another dreamy beaded look came from Maya Hawke in Prada.
