I had never heard of Bourjois Paris, and I once very rudely replied to the girl at the make up counter that I don't think its's a renowned brand. Weeks later, I had to admit that this French brand is one of the best I have come across. Bourjois Paris has been around for 150 years and is known for it's luxe quality and beautiful packaging. I have found my Holy Grail foundation and concealer from Bourjois, and always had my eyes on the gorgeous Little Round Pot Blushes. I was further intrigued when I found out that one of the shades from this collection is an exact dupe of the coveted NARS Orgasm, and I rushed to purchase that baby (For reference, the Orgasm dupe is the Bourjois 33 Lilas D'Or).

I was about to purchase the Orgasm dupe, when the girl at the kiosk told me that I should swatch the 32 Ambre D'Or too. It was love at first sight! I am a sucker for warm peach-coral blushes as they flatter my skin tone the most. It's a pretty shade, perfect to give a gorgeous glow to the cheeks. Even though it contains a heavy amount of fine glitter, it's doesn't look absurd on the face. The Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush is a matte baked blush, and comes with a tiny brush and a mirror attached in the compact pot.

I hate to admit that the brush is pretty much useless, not even good enough for touch-ups, but the pot is travel-friendly, and safe enough to dump in your make up kit. Ambre D'Or is a blend of coral and peach with golden sheen. It offers a great pigmentation and will show up even on dark tones. Even though there is a copious amount of shimmer in it, the blush doesn't make pores seem visible. The matte texture will help the blush stay on for long even on the oiliest of skins. The blush also has a subtle rose scent to it, though it isn't overpowering.

A little quirk of the blush is that is hardens up over time as most baked blushes do, and tends to loose its intense pigmentation. A tip would be to lightly swipe sandpaper or a dry toothbrush to scratch off the hard top. It's a bit of a waste but these blushes won't crumble up or break as soft powder blushes do. Also, using a clean blush brush to apply will also help. I would suggest to keep a separate brush for baked blushes.
