Review and Swatches MAC Kissable Lipgloss in Super

This lip gloss is my first splurge from MAC. The MAC Kissable Lip Glosses come in 12 pretty shades. I got mine in 'Super'. It boasts of being lipstick like but with the shine of a gloss. The gloss comes in a skinny tube and is a delicious vanilla scent like most MAC glosses. Super is a muted nude shade which is lighter than the MAC Frecktone lipstick.

It's a mauve-pink kind of shade which is actually really beautiful. The fragrance of vanilla in the gloss is divine, it's quite light and doesn't linger upon your senses. The texture is glossy not glazed, and it feels light and moisturizing unlike regular lip-glosses which are more greasy and sticky.

You can see it's a gloss with a tint of color, not so thick or greasy. MAC Kissable Gloss is formulated with balanced ratios of texture, tint and scent.

I have chapped dark lips and there are few lip colors which suit me, but this shade is perfect for me. The mauve toned gloss balances my natural lip color leaving it slightly tinted with a glossy effect. It also moisturizes my chapped lips and doesn't feel heavy. The 'Kissable' lipglosses don't live up to the name of being kissable or long lasting. Due to its light formula regular touch ups are required to have it on lips for a longer time. I would suggest to use a light lipstick or lip balm before the application to increase its staying power.

Overall MAC Super Kissable Lip Gloss is a perfect lip gloss in terms of pigmentation and quality. It would look great with a sultry smoky eye makeup. It comes with a price tag of $18. Although it's discontinued now, it can be found with reliable Ebay sellers. Another favorite of mine is the MAC Double Dare Creemesheen Lip Gloss.
