Early Monday in Paris, Reality TV actress Kim Kardashian was robbed off in her two-story apartment at the Hotel de Pourtales, but detectives remain baffled as to how five armed men reached inside her flat at 3 am.
Kim Kardashian's wrists and ankles were bound with zip ties, and she was left into a bathtub as the men raided her apartment, stealing her jewels including her famous $4.5 million diamond engagement ring.
The 35 year old, mother of two, reportedly begged for her life, before the robbers went off with an undisclosed amount of jewellery, of nearly about $10 million, and her two phones, both which may contain a lot of personal information.
Though it is clear that the robbers may have tricked their way into the palatial apartment block in Paris, but how they got into Kim's flat is baffling.
Kim claims that she didn't understand the French speaking robbers, and freed herself by wriggling her wrists out of the zip ties and screaming off for help from the balcony.
The celebrity's long time personal bodyguard Pascual Duvier was also not present with her, but was with her sisters Kendall and Kourtney at a nearby nightclub.
Hours before the heist, Kim had taken to Snapchat to flaunt her 20 carat emerald cut diamond ring by Lorraine Schwartz , which was given to her by her husband Kanye West.
The robbers also stole a jewellery box worth $6.7 million, before escaping on rented bicycles through the city in the early hours of the morning.
A former security specialist, Steve Stanulis, who has previously worked with Kanye and Kim, claims that it is either a publicity stunt or an inside job.
Steve also says that Kim had it coming as she regularly flaunts her massive wealth on social media networks, and her Parisian hotel is very secure, so either somebody might have tipped the robbers off or showed them the way in.
Kim's hotel room showed no signs of being forced in, and the star clearly would not open the door to strangers in the wee hours of the night.
Another surprising fact is that the robbers, who were wearing ski masks, have also not been caught on CCTV cameras, as the cameras were facing the 'wrong way'.
There are conflicting reports that Kim's stylist and friend Simone Harouche was also staying in the apartment, and was quick to lock herself into a bathroom and notify her bodyguard.
A concern also brought up is that Kim fled Paris and returned to USA within a few hours and though gave a statement to the Police, was not interviewed at length, as done in cases of serious crimes.
The multi-millionaire was also criticised by Chanel Creative Head Karl Lagerfeld, who although tweeted support for Kim, but told reporters after his Chanel show that 'you cannot display wealth and be surprised that some people want to share it with you.'
Doubters have gone to the length that this is another of Kim's attempt to create a media firestorm before her Reality TV Show 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' debuts a new season late October, and its ratings have dipped quite low.
Kim is claimed to be 'badly shaken' but 'physically unharmed', but it sure does remain a mystery that why were there no security personnel with a woman carrying millions in jewels, and how did she manage to free herself from otherwise difficult zip ties?
