MAC x Beauty Gurus Lipsticks Spring/Summer 2017 Collection

After teasing us with snippets, MAC finally gives a complete look at its much anticipated collaboration with some of the top Beauty Gurus known.

The MAC x Beauty Gurus Lipsticks for the Spring/Summer 2017 will be launched in April as a limited edition collection, and will feature shades that reflect each Beauty Gurus personal style statement.

10 beauty bloggers from around the world were enlisted  for this collaboration, and were asked to create their shade of lipstick with MAC's renowned formula.

The highlight of this collection is the association of some popular social media names, and each Beauty Guru has invested her skills into the collection to bring forth something unique and interesting that will look good on everyone.

Offering muted nudes, warm soft browns, rich reds and medium tones of berries, the collection is an interesting one with a variety of finishes, though definitely lacks bright pops of vivid hues.

Most of the shades leans on the neutral nude colour family, though the finishes are from matte, satin to cremesheen and glaze.

Though the colours stand out individually, they are not what one would expect of renowned Beauty Gurus, and the collection leaves us wanting more, more variety in the range of shades.

The MAC x Beauty Gurus Lipstick Collection plays safe, and will appeal to followers of the Beauty Gurus, though might not interest everyone due to its lack of shades, and is somewhat a bit of a letdown.
