In a surprising but not so shocking news, Korean boy band BTS has been announced by high-end French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton as their latest ambassadors. The news comes just after K-Pop girl band BlackPink's member Rose was announced as a Tiffany & Co. ambassador. BTS, which has a massive fan following all around the globe, will be seen in advertisements from the fashion giant along with being outfitted by the brand for upcoming appearances and performances.
Last month for the Grammys, BTS arrived in style, all clad in stylish Louis Vuitton ensembles, which could also have been a subtle announcement. The official announcement came from Louis Vuitton on Thursday, and BTS members Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM, Jin, Suga and Jimin will be styled into Louis Vuitton designs from now on, and will work on special projects for the luxury brand.
In the official fashion release, Louis Vuitton calls BTS “one of the most renowned and influential groups in the world,” followed with “BTS’ ubiquitous popularity resonates worldwide and Louis Vuitton is very happy to share news of their new role within the House.”
