Kate Middleton is the epitome of grace at Prince Philip's funeral

A picture of grace and sophistication, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton arrived at the funeral of Prince Philip held today at Windsor Castle. The 39 year old, who had always enjoyed a good relationship with the Duke of Edinburg, the late grandfather of her husband Prince William, wore a regal ensemble for the service. Dressed in head-to-toe black as per tradition, Kate opted for a chic  £1,605 Roland Mouret dress with an asymmetrical neckline, paired with a Catherine Walker 'Beau Tie' custom black coat. Also wearing a Philip Treacy hat, the Duchess was the epitome of charm and grace, and also paid tribute to the Queen and her late mother-in-law Princess Diana by opting for Her Majesty's Japanese Pearl Choker. The Japanese Pearl choker necklace was worn by Kate for the Queen and Prince Philip's 70th wedding anniversary dinner at Windsor Castle in 2017, and by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana in 1982. Fashioned from the finest cultured pearls, a gift from the Japanese government, the necklace features four strands of pearls with a central curved diamond clasp. Kate's look was completed with exquisite diamond and pearl drop earrings which had been a gift from Bahrain to celebrate the Queen and Prince Philip's wedding in 1947. The Duchess also wore simple black pumps and sheer black tights to complete her ensemble, also with a neat and stylish updo.
