Fendi relaunches SATC's purple sequin Baguette

Selling over one million pieces of the Baguette, Fendi owes much of this success to Sarah Jessica Parker. Her Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw, used to flaunt the purple Fendi Baguette, which gets stolen in the third season of the original show. Now as the show gets a reboot 'Just Like That', Fendi has also relaunched the beloved and iconic style. For the latest reboot, in Episode 3, when she goes to Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez)’s comedy show with her besties Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis), Carrie Bradshaw is seen holding the bag. The Fendi purse Bradshaw carries in this episode is actually a limited re-edition of the handbag, which was initially introduced on the Italian high-end brand's Fall/Winter 1999 Collection. Featuring in the iconic Baguette silhouette, the purse is covered in purple sequins of different sizes to create a 3-D effect, and comes with a matching strap, with golden hardware of the signature FF clasp, adding a touch of contrast as well. Fans and followers of Carrie Bradshaw, and lovers of the brand, can head to Fendi’s stores to purchase or pre-order the purple sequined Baguette for $4,300 USD.
