Charlize Theron looks glamorous as she covers the October 2022 edition of Harper's Bazaar US. Photographed by Josh Olins, the star of 'The School for Good and Evil' can be seen dressed in elegant minimal ensembles throughout the shoot, with her cover look being a white one-shoulder Dior dress, styled with a Van Cleef & Arpels ring and Manolo Blank pumps.
Understated, cool and composed, the A-list star wears pieces from various Fall collections, styled by Stella Greenspan. The blonde actress flaunts knit sweaters, trench coats, and denim pieces, from high-end brands including Loewe, Alaia, The Row, and Prada. Charlize, who was recently seen in Dior’s J’adore Parfum d’eau Campaign, has her hair done in a sleek look by Orlando Pita, with Sally Branka on makeup. For her accompanying interview, Charlize Theron discusses what it’s like to be a woman working in Hollywood, as well as her upcoming movie and her role as a producer.
Charlize on feeling powerless as a young woman in Hollywood:
“Having absolutely no control over what you’re wearing is a big one that really f***ing annoyed me for years. Having some guy make you have a fitting almost in front of them—stuff like that, it’s really belittling,” Theron explains. “When I started, there was no conversation around it. It was like, ‘This is what you’re wearing.’ And I remember one movie in particular, this male director who just kept bringing me in, fitting after fitting after fitting after… And it was just so obvious that it was to do with my sexuality and how f****able they could make me in the movie. And when I started out, that was just kind of the norm.”
Charlize on her immersive style when it comes to producing:
“It is so all-consuming,” she says. “There are moments with my children where, yeah, I sit in the car and they’re in the back and I’m pulled over because I don’t want to lose a call. But I love it. I don’t think I could do it if I didn’t love it.”
