GCDS Spring/Summer 2024 Collection at Milan Fashion Show

Giuliano and Giordano Calza's GCDS brought Milan Fashion Week's second day to a close with an intimate presentation held inside the brand's central headquarters. Known for their theatrical shows, the Italian fashion house did not disappoint with their Spring/Summer 2024 showcase. The room featured a single row of seats on white-carpeted flooring and was filled with international A-listers, including Mia Khalifa and Alessandra Ambrosio.

The show began with dimmed lights, accompanied by funky '90s tunes that set the stage for models to move freely. The collection was a nostalgic journey through past decades, blending Italian influences with a playful slumber party theme. Skin-tight cardigans featuring US flag-style stripes and exaggerated shoulder padding were paired with GCDS-monogrammed briefs, while menswear introduced vests and matching skirts with a prehistoric twist.

Drawing inspiration from Calza's Italian roots, GCDS presented a graduating class in branded varsity uniforms reminiscent of college attire. This was followed by formal white suits with high neckties, perfect for a prom night. The collection featured bold clashes of uneven patterns on cropped polos and double-banded denim, with tiny T-shirts bearing affectionate "TI AMO GCDS" lettering.

The presentation took an unexpected turn as GCDS models hosted a fashion-friendly sleepover. Buffed male models graced the runway in sheer tank tops and pearled sweatshorts, concluding the show with three dazzling ensembles. The garments were oversized and dramatic, featuring tousled asymmetrical tops paired with ultra-slouchy silk trousers and a strapless dress of grand proportions.
