Lauren Sánchez is making a statement—one that comes with a $5,750 price tag. The fiancée of billionaire Jeff Bezos stepped out in Studio City, California, carrying Balenciaga’s 9 AM Clutch, a leather handbag designed to look like a to-go coffee cup.
The luxury piece is a high-fashion take on the brand’s $125 porcelain coffee cup, which mimics disposable designs. Crafted from calfskin leather, the 7.3-inch by 4.3-inch clutch features a debossed Balenciaga Paris logo and a hinge closure with a snap button.
Sánchez paired her quirky accessory with a dark denim halter dress cinched at the waist with a brown belt. She completed the look with brown pointed-toe pumps, aviator sunglasses, and a loose half-up, half-down hairstyle.
Beyond fashion, Sánchez has a packed schedule ahead. In May, she’s set to travel to space aboard one of Bezos’ Blue Origin rockets. In June, she’ll tie the knot with the Amazon founder in a lavish Venice, Italy, wedding that’s expected to be a star-studded affair.
The couple is reportedly going all out for their nuptials, with Bezos’ $500 million megayacht, Koru, playing a role in the festivities. Two of Venice’s top hotels, the Gritti Palace and Aman Venice, are fully booked from June 26 to June 29, with rooms starting at $3,200 per night.
Sánchez is rumored to be wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown, with input from Vogue’s Anna Wintour. Meanwhile, Bezos proposed in May 2023 aboard Koru with a $2.5 million diamond ring, marking the beginning of their next chapter in signature over-the-top style.
