Shah Rukh Khan Arrives in NYC, Fuels Buzz Around Met Gala 2025 Debut
Shah Rukh Khan lands in NYC, sparking rumors of a Met Gala 2025 debut in Sabyasachi. Fans and fashion insiders are buzzing with excitement.
Shah Rukh Khan has touched down in New York City ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, sparking major buzz about his possible red carpet debut.
The Bollywood icon was spotted at JFK Airport on Sunday, dressed casually in cargo jeans, a grey hoodie, and a white tee. Accompanied by his longtime manager Pooja Dadlani, SRK carried his own luggage and greeted fans warmly, stopping for handshakes and hugs.
While there’s no official confirmation yet, speculation about SRK’s debut gained momentum after Pooja liked a post by fashion watchdog Diet Sabya on Instagram. The post read, “We at DietSabya can confirm: Yes, that is indeed SRK—India’s undisputed generational superstar—making his Met Gala debut in May 2025, wearing Sabyasachi.” It quickly went viral, setting social media abuzz.
The 2025 Met Gala takes place on May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, draws from Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, with a dress code titled Tailored To You.
The event boasts a star-studded lineup of co-chairs including Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Anna Wintour. LeBron James will serve as honorary co-chair.
Joining SRK on the red carpet are Kiara Advani, who is expecting her first child, and Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh.
