Daisy Edgar-Jones in an archival Rodarte Spring 2017 lace dress in New York

Daisy Edgar-Jones went vintage for her latest New York outing. The “Normal People” and “Twisters” actress wore an archival Rodarte dress on October 14, 2026, while in town to promote “Sense and Sensibility.” She plays Elinor Dashwood in the Jane Austen adaptation. Dani Michelle styled the look.

The dress comes from Rodarte’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection, and it first appeared on the runway in that show. It’s a sheer lace midi, ivory and gold, with embroidered vines and abstract metallic patterns running down the skirt. The hem is ruffled and frayed.

Then there’s the heart. It sits right in the centre of the bodice, packed with bronze and gold embroidery, beadwork and sequins. A ruffled white trim outlines the shape. At the shoulders, white lace sleeves are tied in loose bows and fall down her back.

She wore it with gold Jude Mixer sandals. They’re leather with thin crossed straps that wrap around the ankle. Nothing else competed with the dress.

Her hair was half-up in loose waves, with soft curtain bangs framing her face. Makeup was fresh and rosy with a nude-pink lip. It’s a romantic look, and it fits with the film’s period mood.
