Daisy Edgar-Jones Wears a Schiaparelli Velvet Skeleton Bustier Dress With Gold Embroidery to Jimmy Kimmel Live
Daisy Edgar-Jones wore Schiaparelli’s black velvet Skeleton Bustier Dress with gold embroidery to Jimmy Kimmel Live in Hollywood.
Daisy Edgar-Jones has gone dark and dramatic for her latest stop on the Sense and Sensibility press tour. The British actress, known for Normal People, Where the Crawdads Sing and Twisters, arrived at Jimmy Kimmel Live in Hollywood on Thursday, October 8. She was a guest on the ABC show alongside Michael Douglas, with Remi Wolf as the musical guest.
She chose Schiaparelli’s black Skeleton Bustier Dress, and it’s not a subtle one. The strapless velvet midi has a fitted bodice and a pencil skirt, and it’s covered in gold metallic embroidery that looks like a body drawing. Fringed gold curves wrap around the bust like ribs, then wave across the waist and run down the front of the skirt. It’s classic Schiaparelli, mixing a sleek shape with a surreal twist.
She kept everything else simple so the dress could do the talking. Her shoes were pointed black stilettos, and she wore small gold earrings. Her long auburn-brown hair was in a sleek, straight style with full curtain bangs and a center part, and her makeup was soft, with a natural nude-pink lip.
It’s a change from the romantic looks she has worn on the tour so far. Over the past few weeks she has gone from a sheer sequin corset gown in Sydney to vintage Chloé at the Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday, and Schiaparelli has been a favorite throughout.
Daisy is promoting Georgia Oakley’s new take on the Jane Austen classic, in which she plays Elinor Dashwood opposite Esmé Creed-Miles as Marianne. Caitríona Balfe, George MacKay, Frank Dillane and Fiona Shaw also star. The film opens in theaters on October 16.
In case you missed her earlier stops, her Berlin look was a silver Armani Privé gown with crystal chains draped from the shoulders.
