Daisy Edgar-Jones vintage Chloé Spring 1999

Daisy Edgar-Jones picked an archive piece for what may be the last big stop on her Sense and Sensibility press tour. The Normal People and Twisters actress, who plays Elinor Dashwood in the new Jane Austen adaptation, attended the Los Angeles premiere at The United Theater on Wednesday, October 7. She wore a vintage Chloé look from the Spring 1999 collection.

The outfit is a two-part set, and it looks perfect for a period film. The top is a strapless ivory satin corset with a sweetheart neckline, boned seams and tiny floral details. A pair of sheer, tan, embroidered cape sleeves with pearl accents sit over her shoulders. The skirt is a slate-blue satin column that turns into a sheer scalloped panel near the knee. It ends in a flared, uneven hem with a small train.

She matched her shoes to the skirt with petrol-blue ankle-strap sandals and added Boucheron jewels. Her long chestnut-brown hair was in soft, loose waves with curtain bangs, and her makeup was fresh and rosy with a pink-nude lip. She was styled by Dani Michelle, with hair by Bryce Scarlett and makeup by Jo Baker.

Her press tour looks have been all over the place in a good way. She started in London in Vivienne Westwood, wore Stella McCartney in Dublin, and went for a sheer sequin corset gown in Sydney. Wearing a 1999 Chloé outfit in LA brings it back to the soft, romantic mood she began with.

Caitríona Balfe, who plays Mrs. Dashwood, was at the LA premiere too, wearing custom Prada.

The film is directed by Georgia Oakley from a script by Diana Reid, and Esmé Creed-Miles plays her sister Marianne. George MacKay, Frank Dillane and Fiona Shaw also star. Focus Features releases it in theaters on October 16.

If you missed her earlier stops, her Berlin premiere look was a silver Armani Privé gown with crystal chains draped from the shoulders.
